Vinyl wrap is an alternative to a traditional way of painting cars. It is a thin flexible film that comes from the factory with specially formulated adhesive on the back that safely adheres to the surface of the car. It comes in a variety of colours and finishes, and allows you to fully customize the exterior of your vehicle. There is no exact answer to this question. Both have its pros and cons. In short, wrapping a car as opposed to painting it is more cost effective, your car will be ready much faster, and wrap is reversible. How much does it cost to wrap a vehicle?
Depending on the material you are going with and the size of your vehicle, vinyl wraps can vary in price from 2000 to 5000 dollars for a full exterior wrap. The cost, however, may vary significantly depending on the type of vehicle, difficulty level and areas wrapped. We also offer partial wraps and colour accents. How long does it take to wrap a car?
Typically, depending on the size of the vehicle, it takes between 2-7 days to complete a wrap. We recommend keeping it inside for extra 12 hours to make sure the adhesive cures properly and to allow additional 48 hours before washing it.
How long does a wrap last?
Vinyl wrap, when properly cared for, can last for up to 5-7 years. During this time it is protected by manufacturer’s warranty against material defects. We recommended that you remove your wrap every 5-7 years to avoid excessive adhesive residue.
How to care for your wrap?
Caring for your wrap is similar to caring for paint. You can use normal car washing soaps and procedures, since we ensure high quality and sealed edges. Pressure washing is ok as well, however it should be performed with care. Please ensure to not bring nozzle too close to wrapped surfaces, and avoid high pressure wash near seams and where panels meet. Avoid using wax and oils on satin or matte finishes. What are the options in terms of colours and finishes?
Vinyl wrap comes in a variety of colours and finishes. We have sample books with all of the available colours that can be ordered directly from manufacturers. The most popular Vinyl Wrap finishes are Gloss, Matte, Satin, Pearl, Metallic and Crome. There is also something called colourflip, which is basically a colour that changes itself depending on the angle you are looking at it. Vinyl wraps also come in carbon fibre and brushed finishes for those cool accents on mirrors or hood.
Will Vinyl Wrap damage the paint?
Vinyl wrap from a well reputable manufacturer doesn’t damage paint in any way.
