What is PPF (Paint Protection Film)

Paint Protection Film (also known as clear bra) is an 8 mil thick clear, flexible film made out of polyurethane. It can be installed on top of the existing paint or vinyl wrap to protect it.

What does Paint Protection Film do?

PPF protects the surface of your car from rock chips, scratches and scuffs. In addition, it protects the paint from negative effect of UV light and dramatically slows down colour fading.

How much does a Paint Protection Film job cost?

Price for PPF installation varies depending on the amount of coverage, size and complexity of the car. Basic option that includes front bumper, partial hood and fenders can be as low as $800. Packages that include more protected areas (with full hood and fenders, mirror caps and headlights) retail for approximately $2200. Full PPF coverage is also available for most cars and it starts at $4800. Get in touch with us to get a free estimate for your car.

What brand of PPF do you use?

XPEL is our preferred brand of Paint Protection Films.

How long does Paint Protection Film last?

XPEL provides a 10 year warranty on their film. Manufacturers’ warranty covers any product defects and film yellowing.

What areas of the car does PPF protect?

The film can be applied on pretty much any exterior area of the car. Most popular package that we offer is protecting the front of your vehicle. The package includes front bumper, hood, fenders, mirror caps, and headlights. We also offer custom packages that are tailored specifically to your needs.

How to take care of PPF?

Maintenance of Paint Protection Film wrapped vehicle is similar to paint maintenance, only you don’t have to polish it. You can wash PPF with a normal car washing soap. You can remove light scratches from brushes with hot water, sunlight or heat gun.

How long does it take to apply PPF?

Depending on the amount of coverage, installation may take from 2 to 5 days. This includes a 12 hour in-shop curing period.

Will PPF damage the paint after its removal?

OEM paint is completely safe and that is one of the reasons we use Xpel films. If removed within warranty period (10 years), PPF will leave minimal or none adhesive residue that can be easily cleaned off. If your car was previously repainted, there is a chance of paint damage. Unfortunately, there is no warranty for non-OEM paint jobs due to a massive quality variation in different paint shops.

Why should I get PPF?

Paint Protection Film will protect the surface of your car, and will keep it looking new for longer. If any damage occurs, instead of repainting your car you might only need to repair damaged PPF. Faster, cheaper, better.
